Main admissions
Information about student admissions for the new school year, together with a link to the registration form, is published on June 1 on the website and on SzkoUA’s social media channels.
Number of available places
Grade 1 — a full class is formed (24 places).
Grades 2–11 — admission depends on the number of available places in individual classes.
Admission procedure
Parents / legal guardians of prospective students complete the application form and wait for an invitation / message from the school.
- The submitted application form is reviewed by the admissions committee.
- Parents / legal guardians are informed by email about progressing to the next stage of the admissions process.
- Official admission of a student to the school takes place after parents / legal guardians complete the required formalities in accordance with the information sent by the admissions committee, namely after:
a) signing the school education contract;
b) paying the admission fee;
c) paying the September tuition fee;
d) submitting the required documents in accordance with the list provided later on this page. After all payments have been made, the child is officially admitted to the school.
Priority in admission is given to children:
- who have siblings already studying at SzkoUA;
- who have recently arrived in Poland and have not yet attended a Polish school;
- who arrived from occupied or frontline areas of Ukraine;
- the order of applications submitted via the registration form is also taken into account.
An admission interview is mandatory for students in Grades 8–11.
Rekrutacja uzupełniająca
Supplementary admissions run from July 11 to August 31.
Admissions take place only if there are available places in the classes.
The admission procedure follows the same process as in the main admissions.
Tuition fees are calculated depending on the date the student begins studying at SzkoUA. Attention! An admission interview is mandatory for students in Grades 8–11.
Admissions during the school year
If there are available places in classes, the admissions procedure can be completed from September 1 to April 30. Important! An application for admission to the school may be submitted by a parent / legal guardian only during an in-person visit to the school. Tuition fees are calculated depending on the date the student begins studying at SzkoUA.
Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Prospective students with SEN, together with their parents, must attend an admission interview regardless of the admissions stage they apply for. The interview makes it possible to determine whether the school is able to provide appropriate support.
In the event of a positive decision, parents, in addition to submitting the standard required documents, are obliged to:
- refer the child for assessment at a psychological and pedagogical counseling center;
- submit an official opinion (certificate/decision) to the school.
Recruitment documents are submitted by the parent / legal guardian to the SzkoUA school office.
Documents required for admission
- a child’s document confirming identity and legal stay in Poland (ID card, passport, birth certificate);
- a document of one of the parents / legal guardians confirming identity and legal stay in Poland;
- the child’s PESEL number with UKR status or a residence card issued on the basis of the PESEL UKR number;
- a court decision on the establishment of guardianship (if applicable);
- a school report / transcript for the previous school year (may be in electronic form), and a Grade 9 completion certificate;
- a medical certificate: Ukrainian form No. 086-1/o or a Polish medical certificate confirming the child’s health status for participation in sports activities;
- 2 photographs in 3×4 format;
- a “student file” from the Ukrainian school with a note confirming removal from the student register;
- a certificate of removal from a Polish school (if the child previously studied in the Polish education system).
